Nakakita ako ng puting rosas
Ito'y aking inabot at kinapa
Hindi ko na napansin ang tinik
Ako'y natuwa sa kanyang ganda

Ako'y natuwa sa kanyang ganda
Ngunit ako'y bumitaw at umatras,
Kamay ko'y dumugo't kumirot
Nasaktan sa puti ng rosas

Nasaktan sa puti ng rosas
Pula, puti, dugo
Puti talulot, tinik pula
Kumapit pa rin ako

Kumapit pa rin ako
Kahit ako'y nasaktan
Ako'y natuwa sa puting rosas
Sa sakit ng kanyang kagandahan

Sa sakit ng kanyang kagandahan
Liwanag ay hindi nalalagas
Masakit ngunit maganda
Nakakita ako ng puting rosas

OVER SPILLED MILK

On wood and marble
Stands frail and tall
A glass of cold milk
Sitting beside the edible

I bit the cookie
And it was sweet
Down my throat goes the crumbs
Down the crumbs my feet

Sugar catches my tongue
Fingers with cookie dust
A glass of cold milk
Tempts me, I must

Drink from the glass
Swallow its white contents
Take the milk into myself
Fill, burst, till never mend

I reach for the glass
Almost with lust, desire
I yearn to taste, touch
The cold milk burns like fire

I reach, almost grab
Lost in a world of urge
Momentum, conflict, fire
Glass slips, contents splurge

I look at my loss
Spilled all over the floor
I curse and call it back
There is my milk, my milk no more

Sugar still clings
Fingers with cookie dust
Damn it, damn it
Its still there, my lust

The milk is gone
But I'm still thirsty and here
So what to do with what I spilled?
I close my eyes and out comes a tear
